PAWS Pets of The Week

Bellemere
Super dog social and loves playing with other dogs. Loves toys and exploring. Loves water. Adores people, though she may be a little shy until she gets to know you. Would do best in a home without cats or livestock.

Bellemere doesn't need much - just someone willing to give her the opportunity she's been waiting for. Whether through fostering or adoption, you could be the reason she finally gets to leave shelter life behind.

Come meet Bellemere and see why she's our Dog of the Week. Let's find this overlooked girl the forever home she deserves.

Oliviah Jr.

At just 3 years old, this goofy girl is starting to lose her sparkle in the shelter. Outside of her kennel, she's all smiles—zooming around the play yard, playing with other dogs, carrying her favorite stuffies, and living for a cozy blankie and time with her people.

She adores people but can be a little shy at first, especially with men. Give her a little patience, and her sweet, fun-loving personality shines. 3 years old, 50 lbs, Dog social, Heartworm negative. Up to date on vaccines & prevention. Will be spayed before adoption The longer she sits in her kennel, the more her joyful spirit fades. Please help us get Oliviah Jr. into a home through foster or adoption—she deserves to smile like this every day.

Yolanda
This beautiful girl is only about 1.5 years old and has spent almost 160 days waiting for someone to see just how special she is. When Yolanda first arrived, she was heartbreakingly thin, but with lots of love and care, she’s filled out and blossomed into the happiest, sweetest girl. Yolanda is everything you could ask for in a companion. She loves other dogs, adores people and kids, never says no to toys, and could spend hours sunbathing outside watching all her friends play. Belly rubs are one of her favorite things, and she’s happiest just hanging out with her people. She’s been to adoption events, strolled through Tractor Supply like a pro, and charms everyone she meets.

Honestly, Yolanda should have been someone’s couch potato by now. But somehow, she's spent almost 160 days in a shelter kennel. It's her turn to have a family that loves her like we do. Come meet Yolanda this week—you just might find your new best friend.

Mrs. Daisy

Mrs. Daisy is around 3 years old, weighs 65 lbs, is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines. She's just as sweet as her brother and is also social with other dogs, great with kids, and has a gentle nature. She has some separation anxiety and will thrive with time, consistency, and lots of love.

She would do well as inside or outside dogs, and both have so much love to give.

If you've been thinking about adding a loyal companion to your family, come meet Mrs. Daisy this week.

Waylon
If you're looking for a loyal best friend with the perfect mix of playful and laid-back, Waylon might just be your guy.

Waylon is around 6 years old, weighs about 45 pounds, and we believe he's a Retriever/Hound mix. He loves people, belly rubs, toys, treats, leisurely walks, and spending time relaxing in the yard. He's the kind of dog who's just happy to be by your side.

Waylon can be a little selective with some dogs, so if you already have a dog at home, we'd be happy to do a meet and greet to make sure everyone is a good match.

This sweet boy has so much love left to give, and we'd love nothing more than to see him spending his days on a couch instead of in a kennel.

Come meet Waylon this week—you might just find your new best friend.

Cicada

To be completely honest... we have no idea why this sweet boy is still here.

Cicada has been waiting a little over 6 months for someone to choose him, and every day that passes makes less and less sense. If you've walked by his kennel, you may have seen him barking and acting like a total goof. But here's the thing - that's shelter life talking. He's just desperately hoping someone will notice him and take him home.

Let him step outside that kennel, though, and you'll meet a completely different dog. Calm, affectionate, goofy, and ready to be your best friend.

At almost 2 years old, Cicada is the perfect mix of playful, curious, and eager to learn. He greets other dogs politely and enjoys making new friends, making him a great fit for a home with another dog or for someone looking for an adventure buddy. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccines and prevention - he's ready to go home today.

And yes... his name is Cicada. 🦗 Unlike the real thing, we promise he won't spend all summer screaming - just the occasional happy bark when he's excited to see you.

If you've been thinking about adding a dog to your family, we'd love to introduce you to Cicada.
