United Way Forum Seeks Action on Homelessness

Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer

The United Way hosted a Housing and Homeless Summit on Wednesday, bringing together many of the charitable organizations and agencies in the area to evaluate the issue and issue a call for action.

A panel representing local government, churches, and community activists discussed what is being done and where the county falls short in finding a way to provide housing and services to the nearly 5,000 people in Anderson County identified and homeless or underserved.

Some of the pdf presentation can be found here.
