Seth Young Chosen as New School Dist. 1 Superintendent

Dr. Seth Young, director of student services for Anderson School Dist. 1, has been chosen to succeed current Superintendent Robbie Binnicker, who will retire at the end of the school year.

Young, who has been with the district for 21 years, has served as a math teacher at Wren High School, junior varsity basketball coach, assistant principal of Wren Middle School before returning to Wren High School as an principal and assistant principal.

“I am excited to work alongside the wonderful students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and our community to continue to build upon the tradition of excellence we have here in Anderson School Dist. 1,” said Young, who will take the position July 1. “I cannot wait to see the great things we accomplish together in the future to benefit our students.”
