School Dist. 5 Board to Consider an Employee Survey

Observer Reports

Anderson School District Five’s board is set to take up a routine but wide-ranging agenda Tuesday night, including financial reports, policy revisions, a modified school calendar, and several staffing and facilities matters. The 6:30 p.m. meeting at the district’s administrative office will also include discussion of student meal accounts, screen time, and an employee survey planned for a future work session.

The board is expected to consider first readings on several policy changes, including rules on support staff and professional staff leaves, technology resources, admission of non-resident students, and school wellness. Trustees will also take up a second reading on the district’s retiree program policy.

Among the action items are approval of the June 9 budget hearing minutes, the updated 2026-27 modified school calendar, a superintendent evaluation timeline, Westside High School stadium improvements, the district’s representative to the Anderson Five Education Foundation board, and Act 155/207 diploma petitions.

The board has scheduled an executive session to discuss personnel recommendations, a returning employee bonus package, construction manager-at-risk services, and a facilities rental agreement. Any action on those items would come after the closed session.

The meeting will be livestreamed on the district’s website and YouTube channel.
