Early Voting Under Way in Honea Path Mayoral Special Election

Early voting for the July 15 special election to fill the seat of mayor of Honea Path begins today. Voters can cast their ballot at the Anderson County Board of Elections and Registration Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Early voting will end July 11.
Three candidates are seeking the mayor’s office, after former Honea Path mayor Christopher Burton stepped down April 15 citing his increased work load as assistant professor of technology at Greenville Technical College:
Luther Moon, Tina Maria Scott, and Dr. Jimmy Smith.
Observer interviews with Moon and Smith are here, and Scott is expected to answer questions sometime Monday.
While early voting is in downtown Anderson only, voting on July 15 will be held at the following precincts:

• Barkers Creek-McAdams- Barker's Creek - Baptist Church 3207 Hwy 252

• Keowee (Abbeville Co) Barker's Creek Baptist Church 3207 Hwy 252
