Nonpartisan Candidate Filing Begins Friday

Nonpartisan candidate filing for the November 5 general election begins Friday 12 noon and remains open through Aug. 15 at noon.

Candidates can file for office at the County Board of Voter Registration & Elections, 301 N Main Street Anderson, SC 29621, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  

The following area offices are open for filing: Anderson County Board of Education Districts 2, 7, 8, 9; Soil & Water Commissioner - 1 Seat (Petition Candidate); Big Creek Watershed - 2 Seats; Broadmouth Creek Watershed - 3 Seats; Brushy Creek Watershed - 2 Seats (Pickens); Three & Twenty - 3 Seats (Pickens); Homeland Park Water District - 2 Seats; Piedmont Public Service District – 2 Seats (Greenville). 

Also, filing for Anderson County School District Trustees seats in the election are as follows:  School District 1 - Area 2, 3, 6; School District 2 - Area 2, 5, 6; School District 3 - Area 2, 3; School District 4 - Area 1, 3; School District 5 - Area 1, 3, 4, 7, At-Large.
