In Anderson County 3,610 Voters Vote Early in Runoff Elections

As early voting for the South Carolina primary elections closes, 3,610 have cast votes in Anderson County. This represents 2.97 percent of the 121,145 voters eligible to vote in this election.
The House Dist. 8 incumbent S.C. Rep. Don Chapman, who took 44.98 percent of the 5,425 votes cast on Primary day, is facing challenger Sherry Hodges, who took 42.53 percent of the vote. The other challenger, Patrick Orr, received 12.50 percent, forcing the runoff, has since endorsed Chapman.
In the statewide races. S.C. Lieutenant Gov. Pam Evette is facing S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson in the Republican runoff for governor. Steven Goldfinch and David Stumbo are in the runoff for S.C. Attorney General and in the race for S.C. Commission of Agriculture, Danny Ford in in a runoff with Cody Simpson.
Polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m for this election.
