Honea Path’s Dogwood Park Opens New Pavillion

Honea Path officially opened the newest feature of Dogwood Park on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting for the new Open-Air Pavilion.

The new community gathering space is designed to host a variety of events throughout the year, including festivals, concerts, community celebrations, educational programs, markets, and other special events.

Dogwood Park is a 3.3-acre public space located in the heart of town, serving as both a recreational hub and an important site for local history and community development.

In addition to the historical monument remembering the victims of the Chiquola Mills Massacre in 1934 and the new pavilion, the park maintains its role as a traditional green space for the town, with well-maintained walking and running trails, lush greenery, and a baseball court, making it a popular spot for outdoor fitness and daily community recreation.
