Honea Path Festival Crowns New Champs

Honea Path’s Annual Sugarfoot Fall Festival and Honey Soppin’ kicked off with the spirited contest Saturday, with new winners in both categories.

Contestants were challenged with eating a honey sopped biscuit and then whistle. Sterling Tyner of Belton took the women’s championship, will Belton-Honea Path High School Student Cody Bailey captured the men’s crown. Each will receive $100 prize for their achievement.

Saturday’s festival also featured live music, dancing, arts and crafts vendors and food.
