County Zoning Meeting for Neals Creek Set for Monday

Anderson County Council Districts 2 and 3, in conjunction with Anderson County Planning & Community Development will host a zoning informational meeting Monday at 6 p.m., at Neal's Creek Baptist Church Family Life Center, 3204 Amity Rd, Anderson.

Recently 15 percent of residents petitioned a zoning request for the Neals Creek Voting Precinct.

The purpose of Monday’s meeting is to educate the voters of the Neal's Creek voting precinct regarding the certification petition, the zoning process, the types of zoning classifications, zoning regulations, zoning codes, and the difference between zoning and land use regulations.

Neals Creek joins Rock Springs, Shirley Store precincts who have petitioned for zoning. All three are in County Council Dist. 3.
