Council to Vote on Sewer Bond, Tax Incentives

Anderson County Council is expected to give final approval to a $1.25 million sewer bond for the Homeland Park Water Commission as part of Tuesday’s meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the historic courthouse downtown.

Council will also vote, on second reading, on tax incentives for a project promising to bring 51 new jobs to the county.

At the 6 p.m. honors meeting, council will recognize the Honorable Jason P. Phillips upon winning the L.H. “Sonny” Siau Award of Excellence from the South Carolina Association of Auditors, Treasurers, and Tax Collectors; and the Powdersville High School Boys Basketball team on winning the Class AAA State Championship for the first time in school history.
