Council to Consider Incentives to Bring 35 Jobs to Anderson

Anderson County Council will vote on economic incentives for a new company promising to bring 35 new jobs with average cash compensation of $42.47 per hour at Tuesday’s 6:30 p.m. meeting in the historic courthouse downtown.

At the earlier 6 p.m. recogniztions meeting, council is set to honor: Ayanna Hunt on being named the 2024 All-Upstate High School Girls Track and Field Team Athlete of the Year; Singer Wanda Johnson for her extraordinary musical career including the success of her most recent international tour; and Rosa Lee Patterson on the celebration of her 100th birthday.
