Council Approves Second Reading of Budget

Anderson County Council gave second approval to the fiscal year 2023-24 budget as part of Tuesday’s meeting. The proposed $278 million budget represents an increase of $43 million over the current year’s budget and so far, no tax increase is included in the plan.

Council also approved expanding Renewable Water Resources water and sewer contract to include an area south of I-85 on S.C. 8 at Exit 27.
