Anderson County Summer Farmers Market Opens Saturday

The Anderson County Farmers Market officially kicks off the season Saturday with more than 34 vendors. Local farmers will on hand with green beans, squash, potatoes, sweet corn and even the possibility of a few summer tomatoes. Local arts and crafts merchants will also be featured at the market.
No products are allowed at the 7,670 square-foot market that are grown outside the county unless granted a waiver by the Farmers Market manager. The market accepts WIC vouchers, senior vouchers, EBT and SNAP benefits. Gift certificates are also available in $5 increments can be purchased.
The market is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
