Jan. 6 a Reminder for Americans to Be Vigilant

Wow! It’s been five years since traitors besieged our nation’s Capitol in an attempt to overthrow our government.

Capitol police officers were brutally beaten with several losing their lives to suicide in the aftermath of the insurrection; the blood-thirsty mob even barbarically called for the hanging of Vice President Pence.

After an unyielding nationwide search and God knows how many man hours and taxpayer dollars, many of these domestic terrorists were brought to justice.

Or, so we thought…

Until they were ALL pardoned, including those who pleaded guilty to all charges.

They were pardoned…forgiven of any wrongdoing…on Trump’s first day in office last year…

Pardoned.

Forgiven.

Excused.

Let that sink in.

Imagine an America in which a sitting President pardons traitors and domestic terrorists simply because they blindly acquiesce to his every whim.

We don’t have to imagine it. Orwell and Atwood did so for us, and they warned us. Sadly, we did not heed their warning.

In fact, we lived it, witnessed it firsthand.

Yet, radicalized cultists—some even call themselves Christians—have turned a blind eye simply because they care more about their team winning than preserving our Republic.

America has faced dark days before, and I have no choice but to hope/pray democracy will once again prevail and justice will finally be served. However, for my desire to become a reality, American citizens and legislators must grow a spine and demand accountability.

Until that time comes, be vigilant, folks….yes, even the cultists could be next.
