Sale of Water System Tops Pelzer News in 2023

The sale of the town’s water system tops the news list for Pelzer in 2023.

Mayor Will Ragland said aging system was expensive to run, and costly to citizens of Pelzer before selling to the Greenville Water System this year. Ragland also said the move had saved Pelzer residents 30 percent on water, as well as removing the burden on the town ro repair and maintain the near-century old water lines.

Pelzer is looking at the restoration of historic structures looking ahead to 2024. Ragland discussed these plans and more in this interview with the Anderson Observer.
